Hi! This collection is dedicated to the miscellaneous hiking trips I've taken over the years.
If you are familiar with Arizona, you might recognize some of these places. Arizona has one of
the most diverse topologies in the country. Most people associate Arizona with desert terrain,
but a large portion of the state is mountainous, giving us the unique opportunity to hike in all
kinds of climates.
Many of these hikes are around the Phoenix metropolitan area where I make my home. Others are
within a few hours' drive from Phoenix. For obvious reasons, we tend to hike the high
country during the summer months to take advantage of the cooler weather. Since we also have
such a wide range of climates, we see wildflowers on our hikes almost all year long, which is
another benefit of Arizona hiking.
I've tried to capture some of the stories from my Arizona hikes. Hopefully you can come
along for the ride. Or if you are in the Phoenix area, you may try out these hikes yourself.
Enjoy.
BTW, there are a couple of cool hiking clubs in the Phoenix area in case you are interested.
Take A Hike and
Charles Hike are
just a couple. (The latter is my own club.)

The hard copy photos are much better.
